THRIVE360 Academy FAQ

Thrive360 Academy is a learning and development program including 18 courses, one for each of the practice areas in SHRM’s Capability Model. These courses help HR professionals improve their skills in ways that directly benefit the organization. Learners will earn professional development credits towards their SHRM recertification by taking these courses.

THRIVE360 Academy is for any HR professional looking to build knowledge of essential HR best practices, then build on that foundation to become a more strategic partner. Learners gain a strong knowledgebase and move towards more sophisticated, complex, and advanced HR topics towards the end of each course.

There are 18 practice areas covered, touching on a total of 46 topics. The 18 courses offer a comprehensive foundation of knowledge to help HR professionals accelerate performance, champion culture, maximize talent, and optimize intelligence. Courses cannot be purchased individually. When you purchase THRIVE360 Academy you are getting access to all 18 courses immediately.

No, you can take any course that you want, whenever you want.

Each course takes 1 to 1.5 hours to complete, excluding the quizzes.

There are short quizzes (3-5 questions) at the end of each module. There are four modules per course on average.

If you can’t finish the course in one sitting, you can close the browser and come back to it when you are ready. The course will pick back up from where you left off.

You will have one year from the time of purchase to complete the courses. After one year, learners will lose access to the system. Reminders will be sent in advance of this date to the email address we have on file.

It costs US$395 for an individual HR professional to get access to all 18 courses. Prices may be discounted for larger groups. For more information go to the Pricing page.

If you contact us at McLean & Company, we can invoice you for the purchase of multiple memberships. If you’d like to purchase from this website, you can only purchase one membership.

After completing all courses within the four practice areas, you will earn a PDF certificate. You can print it or display it on LinkedIn. You will also earn professional development credits for each course (a total of 18 can be earned) that can be used toward your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP recertification.

Yes, you will earn one professional development credit (PDC) per course towards your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP recertification. There are 18 courses, for a total of 18 recertification credits.

Courses can be accessed by mobile. However, learners will find that a tablet or computer screen offers the best learning experience.

For an optimal learning experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Edge (Chromium). Microsoft Edge and other browsers that support HTML5 have been verified to work but are known to encounter some issues caused by local system configuration that are outside of our scope of control to assist with.

This is a McLean & Company product. We created the THRIVE360 diagnostic in partnership with SHRM and have leveraged their industry standard capability model as the foundation for this product.

Each course is developed by dedicated subject matter experts researching over a hundred academic and industry resources, conducting interviews with leaders in the subject matter area, and using data-based insights derived from surveys such as McLean & Company’s annual trends survey. These courses have been created to follow SHRM’s industry-standard organizational capability model.
